PHILOSOPHY OF EDUCATION

MANILA CATHEDRAL SCHOOL believes that Education is the preparation of the human being for life both here and hereafter. As a school, it serves as the “agent of change” and the venue for the realization of man’s total formation so as to attain eternal union with God and make significant contributions to society. It is tasked to create a community of persons, who fulfills the church’s mission of living and sharing Christ to others, especially among the least, the lost and the last.

As a Catholic school, we are to provide Christian Education and formation to our academic community. We practice the Gospel values of the Lord in order to advocate human dignity, justice, peace and the integrity of creation, emphasizing the Christian service to the poor. We adhere to a simplicity of lifestyle with Christian Spirituality or Religion as the unifying core in our interdisciplinary curriculum integrating FAITH and SCIENCE to a life centered in the Lord Jesus.

Our school is a safe child-centered community. We provide varied, meaningful and challenging activities to our students and our personnel in order to help them discover and develop their God-given gifts and talents so as to better serve God and neighbor, regardless of race, creed and individual differences.
